Jennifer Tawil

I am a postpartum doula for busy parents of newborns who want to be supported in the non-judgmental way they deeply desire but rarely receive.

Ideally it's best to plan for your postpartum time before a baby is born so that new moms and dads can experience the relief of knowing I will show up day one with that extra set of hands and compassionate support they need and deserve.

My ideal client is someone who can let go of perfectionism and allow me to support them is a way that feels relaxed and comfortable.

I am happy to support you on your first or your fifth journey into parenthood!

I have been the anxious insecure mother (first-time) as well as the calm and confident mother (second-time) so I know what you are going through emotionally and physically.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BEING A DOULA!

MY business story

Why Lean On Me"?

If you know the popular song recorded by Bill Whithers in 1972, you know how the chorus goes:

"Lean on Me, when you're not strong, and I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on..."

That just about says it all about how I want to present my business to prospective clients

Prepare for Birth and a Restful Postpartum

Journeying into parenthood brings questions, fears, and concerns about the unknown. As a postpartum doula, my job is to help you prepare confidently for birth, guide you through a peaceful postpartum, and ease you through the long and exhausting days.

A beautiful way I like to support expecting parents is to help them to plan their "nest" by:

  • wash and fold baby clothes
  • organize the nursery and put together the postpartum/baby cart
  • sterilize bottles, breast pump, pacifiers, etc.
  • meal prep some freezer meals

Client Love

Jen is knowledgeable, non-judgmental and so easy to be around. She supported our family during the transition of bringing home our second child and we are just so happy to have had her. She did so much to help, including soothing baby, prepping meals, and entertaining toddler while mom and baby were resting. Jen is a great doula and a wonderful person!

- Mom of 2, Pleasantville, NY

I was Jennifer's client for ten weeks starting when my son was three weeks old, and once I went back to work she returned to help my husband two days a week during his parental leave.
We love Jennifer! She's personable, empathetic, and no-nonsense - a natural doula. My husband and I were both pretty clueless about infant care when our son was born, and Jen was an unflagging source of moral and practical support. She put the baby down for countless naps, cooked meals, organized baby stuff, did laundry, offered helpful tips and recommendations, etc. Before I was even officially her client, she put me in touch with a wonderful lactation consultant when I developed mastitis. Without their help, I think I would have given up on breastfeeding a long time ago (my son is now a nursing champ).
Being able to relax and enjoy these first few months with my baby has meant the world to me. If we ever have another, I'm letting her know the MINUTE we find out the due date to make sure we get on her schedule!

Jennifer was incredible and I can't imagine not having her postpartum. She was supportive, cooked delicious meals, shared expertise on nursing and childcare, and generally just made sure we were taken care of. Couldn't recommend her more

Jennifer was amazing, she really helped us out tremendously postpartum. She has such a calming nature and is very easy to talk to. She helped me with some breastfeeding tips that made the transition to breastfeeding easier. I still reach out to her with questions and she is still willing to help. I am so grateful for her. Highly recommend

Having Jenn as our postpartum doula was an absolute must. Truthfully I initially didn’t think I would need the extra support but as my due date quickly approached I realized that that’s what I would need THE MOST, and I’m so grateful to have had jenn provide that support. From giving me peace of mind to nap, making sure the fridge was stocked with snacks or a meal by the time she left her shift, to just talking to me about whatever emotional rollercoaster I was on for that day. Jenn as our postpartum doula was the best investment we could have made!
